‘THE ULTIMATE NORTH WALES PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP’
A weekend of Landscape, Night Sky and Wildlife Photography along the stunning North Wales Coast and the Isle of Anglesey.
Friday 29th January – Sunday 31st January 2021
A unique opportunity to spend the weekend in the company of both Gareth and Gary photographing the stunning landscapes of the North Wales Coast and the beautiful Isle of Anglesey, along the way spotting and photographing it’s iconic wildlife, and then when darkness falls concentrating on dark sky and astro photography.
For the weekend we will be based at the fantastic Bull Hotel in Llangefni right in the heart of Anglesey, where you will have a nice comfy bed and breakfast for the weekend.
Meeting at Llangefni late afternoon on Friday, you can leave your car parked up for the weekend, as mini bus transport is provided for your comfort for the full duration of the weekend.
The itinerary for the weekend is very flexible to take into account the weather conditions and wildlife behaviour, but it is hoped that we will be spending time on Anglesey exploring the Newborough area with a view to taking in Llandwyan Island, and looking for Red Squirrels in the forest, up to South Stack to photograph the iconic lighthouse, and the bird life on the spectacular cliffs. We will travel down the coast taking in areas such as Conwy and the Little Orme, again looking out for the local wildlife and the amazing coastal landscapes. For both Friday and Saturday evenings we will venture out to Gareths favourite areas for dark sky astro photography (weather permitting) if this isn’t possible due to the weather Gareth has some other exciting ventures to try out.
This really is a unique opportunity to try out some very different genres of photography all in the same trip, and we are restricting the group size to a maximum of 8 people to ensure everyone gets the best possible attention.
Photographic Kit Requirements
For Landscape and Astro you will need wider angle lenses in the 14-24mm range with a wide aperture eg f/2.8, and a steady tripod
For the Wildlife a longer lens in the region of 300-500mm will be ideal.
If you have any questions as to whether your kit will be suitable please do ask… both of us work closely with Cambrian Photography in Colwyn Bay who we know will also be able to assist in you trying out lenses etc.
Also, please do ensure that you have the correct clothing and footwear to deal with weather conditions on the coast in winter, both daytime and evening.
Places are limited to only 8 and cost £645 per person, and is inclusive of accommodation, transport for the weekend, and full guiding from both Gareth and Gary, to book a place just send Gary a message via the form below, or email him at firstname.lastname@example.org
