Where

Group size
One to One… or…One to Two People
Join Gary down on the Dee Estuary this Winter to photograph one of our most beautiful of Owl Species. This is an area that is well populated with Short Eared Owls during the Winter, as they come down from their Summer breeding grounds up in the hills to spend the Winter hunting across the salt marsh.
On a good day the views of the Owls are fantastic as they hunt along the edge of the marsh, this can’t be guaranteed on every visit, but most years afford good views of them. Plus other Birds of Prey that hunt on the marsh, such as Hen Harrier, Marsh Harrier and Kestrel.
It is also the home to vast numbers of waterfowl during the winter, and when a visit is timed with high tides it can be a fantastic day.
We will meet after lunch over a coffee, have a quick chat about the Photography, settings, set up etc, and then spend the afternoon until dusk wandering the marsh path looking for the Owls and other bird life.
