It was with real sadness that last year saw the non return to Rutland of an amazing male Osprey.

Born in Rutland in 2010, after his first migration he returned back to Rutland in 2012, and over the years became a regular visitor to Horn Mill Trout Farm in the valley.

Gary spent many years visiting the farm and 28 quickly became his firm favourite, not just his dominant behaviour, but after damaging his right wing at some point, he continued his annual migration for many years with the disability, and each Spring returned to his nest and mate and successfully raised youngsters.

Sadly he never returned from migration last year, and his presence in Rutland will be greatly missed.

To celebrate this amazing bird, Gary has pulled together some of his favourite images of him, and they are now available as 12”x8” prints, mounted to 16”x12”…. Professionally printed and mounted by Cambrian Photography in Colwyn Bay, and are available at the discounted cost of £29.99 including UK postage.

If you would like to order a print, email Gary at gjwildlifephotography@outlook.com or contact him on his social media platforms.
