Golden Eagles up Close!  Northern Sweden

Join Gary next Autumn in the glorious wilderness of Northern Sweden to photograph the ultimate Bird of Prey, The Golden Eagle, very close up!

For this trip we will be very much concentrating on photographing the Eagles from just a few meters away, and we will be using the amazing hides owned by Conny Lundstrom. Also there is a good chance to photograph many smaller birds such as Jays, Black and Grey Headed woodpeckers, many small birds such as Willow Tits, Crested Tits and other raptors such as Sparrowhawks, plus Red Squirrel.

There is no better place to photograph Golden Eagles, on the edge of the Boreal Pine forests, from Connys heated purpose built log cabin hide.

Everything is included in the cost of this trip except your flights from the UK to Northern Sweden, where the workshop starts, which flights to book will be communicated to you, and booking is very simple.

Included in the cost are airport transfers, accommodation, all food, guidance and tuition. Kalvtrask is a very small village in Northern Sweden, so there is little to spend money on, so you don’t need a lot of spending money.

As mentioned we will be photographing Eagles very close to the hide, on and around a splendid reflection pool, so ideally shorter lenses will be required in the order of 24-70, 70-200, but also longer lenses up to 300-500mm for more distant or tight portrait shots.

Sweden is an incredible Country to visit, the people are ever so friendly, it’s a lovely clean place, and we will be staying in the home of Conny and his wife Catarina, who really do look after us… included is your stay here, including all meals, breakfast, packed lunch and home cooked evening meal.

This workshop is timed for the stunning autumn colours as the backdrop to your images… but as in previous years its very close to the start of the Swedish winter with snow always a possibility to give you more wintry close up images.
